The case on unlawful enrichment of Tetiana Krupa, head of Khmelnytskyi medical and social expert commission

Case description

The NABU suspects Tetiana Krupa, head of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Center for Medical and Social Expertise, member of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Council from the Servant of the People party, of unlawful enrichment. According to the investigation, she acquired assets worth UAH 137 million.

During the searches of the premises of Tetiana Krupa and her son Oleksandr, the head of the Pension Fund of Ukraine in the Khmelnytskyi region, almost USD 6 million in cash was found, as well as branded jewelry. Krupa tried to get rid of part of the funds by throwing two bags with half a million dollars out of the window.

Her family owns 30 real estate objects, 9 cars, and property abroad. During the search of her office, USD 100,000, forged documents, and medical documents of men subject to conscription with fictitious diagnoses were found.

The State Bureau of Investigation is looking into the lists of the men subject to call-up, which were found during searches in Tetiana Krupa's office. According to the SBI, these lists contain names along with fictitious diagnoses. Journalist Yurii Butusov reported that a number of prosecutors of the Khmelnytskyi region receive payments from the state based on the status of persons with disabilities. The head of the Pension Fund Oleksandr Krupa adopted the decision on pensions.

Previously, Krupa's actions were qualified under Art. 368-5 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
